ABOUT :
David Streeten moved to Dallas, Texas to work for Sentry Lacrosse and to coach for Highland Park (5/6 & 7/8). While at Highland Park he won the spring DFWL 7/8 Division II championship. He has since moved on, and is currently the Varsity Offensive Coordinator, and Head JV coach at Allen High School. He moved to Dallas in January 2015 after working with LB3 Lacrosse in Jacksonville, FL during the summer and fall of 2014.
Before working with LB3 Lacrosse he was an Assistant Coach at Jacksonville University during the 2013-2014 school year. While at JU he helped with running the substitution box. He also worked directly with the face-off unit. In the office he set up everything from team travel arrangements to the ordering the team gear, and was a crucial component in recruit correspondence. In the spring of 2014 Streeten was also inducted into the Corning Painted-Post Sports Hall of Fame (Sport: Lacrosse).
For the 2013 season Streeten was an Assistant Coach at Greensboro College. He was vital in instituting new offensive schemes and formations. While his main in-game responsibilities were with the face-off men and running the substitution box, he took over the man-up offense over the final six games of the season and more than doubled their success rate prior to that time.
Streeten spent the 2011-12 school year at Queens University of Charlotte as an Assistant Coach. While with the Royals, much of his time was devoted to the midfield and goalkeeper positions. He also, assisted with the planning and execution of daily practices, scouting, player development, and recruiting. With his guidance, Queens had a player rank in the top-20 of Division II in face-off win percentage, as well as, a goalkeeper who was in the top-25 in goals against average, saves per game, and save percentage.
During the 2011 college season, Streeten was a Volunteer Assistant at Elmira College in New York. Again focusing primarily on the midfield and goalkeeper spots, the Soaring Eagles had their goalkeeper rank 13th in Division III in saves per game.
After graduating, Streeten spent time as an Editorial intern, and working as a freelance sports journalist for Inside Lacrosse Magazine and Lacrosse Magazine. He was also an active substitute teacher in Corning, N.Y. before entering the collegiate coaching profession. After injury, Streeten used the knowledge he gained watching his father, legendary high school coach Bob Streeten, to continue to lead his team as a volunteer assistant for the remaining three years of his collegiate career. He graduated from Binghamton in May of 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in English and a concentration in Creative Writing.
As an undergrad, Streeten was a member of the Division I lacrosse program at Binghamton University during the 2004 season, where they were regular season champions, before a career ending injury sidelined him. In just one season of play, he was able to place himself in the record books where he is ranked in the top five at Binghamton in face-off win percentage, face-offs won, and face-offs taken in a single season.
Streeten was also a decorated player at Corning East High School. As a midfielder, he completed his high school career with a face-off winning percentage over 72%. He was honored for his accomplishments on the All-Conference First Team, All-Tournament Team, was selected to play in the Super Senior Game, and he was also named his team's Top Offensive Player. In 2002, Streeten earned a silver medal in the NYS Empire State Games as a member of the Western Empire Team.
